We had a quiet day at home today rearranging and tidying the apartment after a busy Friday and Saturday. Our new bed and mattress arrived on Friday and our new bedroom, from layout to textiles to lighting, is just so much better. No finished pictures yet, I need to switch out the rugs (combining patterns is a tricky business) and my mom has promised to help me paint next weekend. Penelope hates change even more than I do so she was a bit skeptical about all these new things. She’s coming around.
In other exciting news, my new camera arrived this week. I’ve said goodbye to my darling Canon XSi and embraced a dark and handsome Nikon D7000. The Canon to Nikon switch has been tougher than I thought and I’m still fumbling around; I feel like I have no idea what I’m doing. Because I don’t.
