Nails

October 31, 2011

I haven’t let my nails go without polish for even a day in almost two years. One day, I decided that having nicely manicured nails was an important part of becoming professional grown up. I built up a small polish collection and bought a cheap manicure kit. But For the majority of my manicured life, things were pretty boring. Once in a while I’d paint one nail a different color from the rest and I did talk myself into buying a bottle or two of glitter polish, but that’s the most excitement my nails saw.

And then the nail art craze caught up with me. My polish collection has doubled, I purchased several tools, I’m obsessed with my cuticles, I collect nail art inspiration, I search for tutorials on YouTube and scroll through Tumblr blogs (I don’t understand Tumblr), and I Instagram almost as many pictures of my nails as I do of my dog. I haven’t done anything too impressive just yet but soon, SOON.

Unless, of course, someone saves me from myself.

Super cute! How in the world do you keep your cuticles so nice? Even when I try myself, they end up looking ragged. :(

      Thanks, Danielle!

I use Sally Hansen Instant Cuticle Remover, a metal cuticle pusher, and cuticle cutters about twice a week. I try to apply cuticle oil to keep them looking good in between manis. It’s a lot of work!
