I just wanted to say, your blog is amazing! I’ve decided I’m going to give DIY a try. I’ve always been a fan of creating things, but when it comes to home decor I’m kind of an idiot. I”m going to attempt the IKEA two tone entry way table as my first project. If successful, I may attempt to paint my large dresser a fun color. Fingers crossed! Just wanted to say thanks for the inspiration, and the step by step instructions. Much appreciated!

Hi Emily! Your blog and home are lovely!! I am reaching out with a quick question! I have a two hundred year old home that my husband and I are slowly renovating! We have loads of beautiful windows and I hate the idea of covering them up with lots of fabric curtains. Can you tell me where you got your roller shades from? thank you for your help! – Hilary

Hi Hilary! Congrats on that old home. We got our roller shades from IKEA – they’re called SKOGSKLÖVER. The smallest size just happened to fit our windows PERFECTLY but they do offer 8 different widths and they might be long enough (76 3/4″) for big old windows. I hope they’ll work for you!

    Hi Emily!

I saw your house on Design sponge and am in LOVE with your blush bathroom. Would you mind telling me what colour and brand it was?

    Thanks so much!

The paint is Behr Marquee Cockleshell. Hope that helps!

    Hi Emily,
I thought you should know that someone is passing off your photo as her own. Being a fellow creative, I really find this infuriating . It’s one thing to share a photo and provide photo credit, but it’s a another thing to claim a photo as your own.

    Here’s the link:

Maybe you know the person, but it appears as though there’s no connection.

Thank you so much, I have asked her to tag me or remove the image, we’ll see what happens. I really appreciate you looking out for me!

I just found your blog. I like to read the about section of new blogs I like, just to see what the blogger says. Undecorating your house… what can that mean? Holy crap! The paint! The rugs! That FAN with the matching wallpaper! I found that little gem while in a public place and laughed til I cried. I’ve seen people spend tens of thousands on kitchens and have no where near the impact of the $600 you spent on yours. Great job!
